Being tourists

So we did some touristy things today! Let's backtrack though... Two days ago we had a meeting about our internships.. What they would entail and when our interviews are. I will be doing marketing rebranding for Kings College Hospital. This scares me a little since I'm not a huge fan of hospitals but I will be in an office setting and I love the branding segment of marketing so I am very excited. My interview is on Monday, if I do not get the job then this could be interesting on several levels... Wish me luck!

Last night Alison, Molly, and I went out in Piccadilly Circus. I think we found the sketchiest club and spent way too much money on way too little. We learned our lesson though and will get the hang of the night scene. Either way, we had fun!

Today we visited several different London attractions. One of the coolest things we did was go on the London Eye. It's basically a huge ferris wheel but each capsule fits about 20 people and you can see all of London. I got some really great pictures but unfortunately due to technical problems, am not able to upload yet. I'm going on a hunt for an Apple store tomorrow to find a computer battery.

We also checked out the Tower of London. This is a castle that during the 16th and 17th centuries was used as a prison. There is a moat Surrounding it and the whole shebang. Unfortunately, We didn't get to go inside since it was closed when we got there. After this Emily, Alison, and I decided to be very American and go to a gourmet burger shop. In case you were wondering I got a chicken burger with avocado and mozzarella. Yummm! :) Then we went to Soho to check out a famous pub there called Dog & Duck. It was built in the 1700s! We had cider beer, it was delicious. Then came back to South Ealing for an early but eventful Saturday evening. Tomorrow we are going to the Camden Market. I'm pretty sure it's your typical shopping market. Right up my alley.

If you're really bored, which clearly you slightly are if you are reading my blog, you should start to read the book, One Day. It is going to be a new movie coming out with Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. Anyways, sounds off topic but the book is set in London. It's fun because a lot of the places and towns they are talking about I am beginning to recognize. And it's a really good book so far. Just a fun suggestion!

Cheers mates!
